My name is Ronda Hubbard and I live in Topeka, Kansas. I'm experiencing an extra hardship right now in the community due to no community resource out reach programs are assisting me in the homelessness I have gone through since the eviction last year in July 2020 during the Pandemic of Covid-19. And, this happened when the first Federal Moratorium came out about the government subsidized complexes would be safe because of them being under HUD rules. I live in Topeka Housing Authority properties and the evicted me due to them saying HUD wanted bank statements now for proof of income instead of my disability letter that was good for a source of income when I moved in back in June 28, 2019. When my lease came up for renewal THA added extra paper work as the bank statements to qualify me to stay at this Public Housing Rental in PineRidge Manor in Topeka. In the lease agreement it said that the lease could be modified, but THA didn't agree to the month-to-month or 6 months lease instead of 12 months. I wanted that space because of all the issues I was having in the apartment. Now, I can't seem to get an apartment on my own due to this on my record with everyone telling me that it can't get expunged because I didn't own the THA any time of money, but didn't participate in the THA program for Public Housing. Thanking you in advance and I hope to receive a phone call at (816)284-8677 to follow up and assist in this matter.
